Looks like these young thugs were definitely weak. Too weak too take on the drunk salaryman that you can find leaving the Ichi around 10:00p (I like to talk to them at the PepperLunch myself. beers for everyone… is that stealing?) Way to weak to go for the rich gaijin that hang out in the maid cafes and SEGA arcades until late.

Going after school kids for lunch money is no way for these guys to make money. That is like preying on the people that shop at Don Quixote’s. Man up guys, the standard of young thug is dropping.

The two incidents netted the muggers less than $15 and $30, respectively. That’s not much of a haul. Heck, I’ve got more than that it my wallet right now, and I’m not exactly what you’d call “rich”.

I strongly suspect that they’d do better rolling drunk salarymen. Impaired is as good as “weak”. Although, on the other hand, salarymen are more likely to move in hard-to-intimidate herds, while otaku are by definition solitary…
