Yen Press site up

The Yen Press website is finally up! It’s nice and simple, and the covers look good, but where’s Night School? Actually, it says in teeny-tiny type up top “This is a temporary site,” and indeed, there are no links at all, just a list of books and the opportunity to sign up for their newsletter. In fact, the aqua color scheme, uncluttered layout, and lack of blinking banners makes it seem downright restful. Don’t change it too much, guys!

  1. I checked out the Yen Press site and was excited to see that Zombie Loan’s coming out in October! My cousin turned me on to it (she runs the fanlisting site), so I’m stoked to be able to share it with others.

  2. Tommy Raiko says

    “…where’s Night School?…”

That site only notes Yen’s Fall titles. Even though Yen’s early PR said that Night School would be one of their launch titles, I could easily believe that Chmakova is still writing or drawing the book, so it might have had to be pushed back in the schedule.

But whenever Yen gets around to publishing Night School, I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait!

  3. NIGHTSCHOOL, while announced as one of our first projects, was never slated to be published until October 2008 tentatively. Svet still has a little project called DRAMACON in the works. Far be it from us to delay the release of the next volume of that series which fans are so eagerly anticipating (myself among them).

And Rena, your enthusiasm for ZOMBIE-LOAN is well placed. Awareness of this title is only just starting to build in the states, but expect the popularity to be MASSIVE when it hits. This is PEACH-PIT at their finest, and I fully expect them to garner whole new legions of fans with this book. And if you’re really stoked about ZOMBIE-LOAN, be sure to stop by our booth at SDCC…

Thanks for the kind words about the temporary site, Brigid! I’ll make a note to try to avoid inducing seizures as we revamp.
