Pre-con anticipation

I hosted a lively roundtable at Robot 6 this week, in which the Good Comics for Kids crew (including librarians, moms, and an actual teenager) discussed why genres that cater to girls (Twilight, shoujo manga) don’t get much respect—and how that can change. Erin Finnegan summarizes the Otakon Wins and Fails.

Reviews: The Manga Recon team posts another set of Manga Minis this morning for your reading pleasure. At The Eastern Standard, David Goodwin looks at an untranslated Kazuo Umezu manga, Fourteen.
