  1. Inspired by the NYT list: Am I the only person in the world that is sick of freakin vampires and paranormal chick investigators and so called “urban fantasy”? All you have to do is put the word “vampire” on a book and it will sell. You could probably put “Vampire” on a cigar box of maggots and it would become a hot new commodity! They need to get rid of Oprah Winfrey and her magazine and just get a vampire talk show host (that would be a good idea for a manga!). The ratings would be through the roof! I think the next president of the United States should be a vampire! What is the inherent eroticism in getting bitten by what is essentially a giant tick? What is the source of this necrophilic lust that lies within some guys and girls?

Another idea that is so burned out on in manga and anime: Demon Hunting! UGH.

  2. You definitely aren’t the only one. Vampires this, vampires that. Though it would be nice to cash in on this craze… No wait, I’m making it worse.
