  1. It’s prepare to get Crunk day! Yay!

  2. >> They also report (on the main page, no permalink) that Kodansha has forbidden secondary uses of their characters.

    Here’s the permalink if you want to add to it.

  3. Heh, was I silly enough to forget to give you the link?

  4. Thanks, FS! I didn’t realize the news items on your front page had permalinks!

    By the way, my headline was inspired by some scanner software I had years ago that was called TWAIN (Technology Without An Interesting Name).

  5. Today was the day the My-Lai Massacre happened I believe.

  6. Hey! I’ve had TWAIN for a long time too, I didn’t know it stands for Technology Without An Interesting Name….

    Interesting.

  7. “Kekkaishi” won the Shogakukan award? They must be running out of good series, if they had to award it to Kekkaishi. :P My 2 cents.

  8. I’ve had TWAIN for a long time too, I didn’t know it stands for Technology Without An Interesting Name….

    Actually, it didn’t acquire that name until later. If you Wiki it, it’s originally from “The Ballad of East and West” which the creators used as a metaphor in explaining the difficulty of connecting scanners with personal computers. Still an odd, random name that has nothing to do with the software itself. -_-;

  9. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TWAIN

    Wikipedia is love. :D

  10. Hey! “The Ballad of East and West” makes for a good name for a program that connects external hardwares to PC! They should have kept it!

  11. Oh now, speaking of which, Rivkah… I am supposed to be reviewing Mangaka America (god that book is sooo gorgeous.. T_T). Though, because that book is so awesome, I don’t want to take the review lightly… *slowly going through all the tutorials*…. Your digital inking tutorial is great, I always wonder how digital inking is done… but I don’t have a PC nor Comicswork! *snuggles her mac*
